Build 11


Why hello everyone! Welcome to one of the most if not THE most MASSIVE update of Stark Penitentiary yet! This is a long awaited Build as I was trying to juggle this Build and editing an hour long set of footage for my YouTube Channel! Remember, different drugs will do different things. Now without further ado, here you are!

-I updated the Itch.io download page for more of a dark theme.

-I made some small cutscenes for the intro to the game. Soon I will add back buttons.

-I  made a set of Main Menu changes.

-I made 2 entry cutscene prototypes.

-I did some more work on the map, including an outside area.

-I think I changed a few controls.

-I added more stuff to goof around with in Nate's Cell.

-I fixed currency and have ideas on how to make a consistent set of cash.

-I fixed Inmate Jake's Shops.

-Inmate Jake now sells some moist and nutricious Milk.

-I added a darker UI theme to the Dialog and better UI changes.

-I added a new font. It's called "Octin Prison Free."

-I added new music thanks to Joshua Saginario.

-Benji reacts to your hair sometimes!

-Fixed the PNG green color.

-Inmate Liam now reacts to you stepping on his hand.

-Cameras can now see more.

-You can now steal money from Inmate Levi.

-Started Inventory.

-Cleaned and remade a ton of new Dialog.

-I fixed colliders. (Shocker, I do that every new Build.)

-Bird of Wisdom can now be picked up in the regular game.

-I added a few temporary sounds to make the environment more lively.

-"Mystery Girl" has spawned.

-I added a warning when you use Easter Eggs.

-I made a better temporary clock.

-Updated a TON of sprites.

-Fixed the JFK Easter Egg, but I accidentally ruined the Sus Venting mechanic.

-Add a new Easter Egg! This is a regular character of mine with a backstory who I might decide to turn into a real character in the game.

-A few surprises regarding the Warden and characters outside Stark Penitentiary.

-A ton of new story written to be revealed at a future date.

-I'm pretty sure there is a lot more so go out and play the damn thing already!

The next Build should be cleaning up this Build and a few more mechanics! I like to think that Builds 1-5 were Prototypes, a mere concept to the idea as I watched it grow. I like to call Builds 6-10 the "Alpha Stage." 11~15 will be called the "Beta Stage" and then I will eventually make a "Demo" if it succeeds well in development. I wrote this so people won't be confused and think I don't understand what those mean, even though I don't really, I'm just using them to describe how I'm developing the game. Anyways, we are moving at a good pace, let's keep it up and see this game and it's characters come alive! I will try to *not* fuck up on my capitalization. :>
